Why Choose Sweetbay?

When your children become members of Sweetbay Pediatrics, you gain immediate access to benefits you won’t find at most practices.

Direct, Unlimited Access to Your Doctors

Day or night, weekday or weekend, you can always speak with the doctor when you have a question that cannot wait. Members will have a direct line to call our doctors, as well as a HIPAA-compliant and secure app with which to send texts. Members can also see the doctor for an unlimited number of visits without the hassle of copays. You can send a text or email for non-urgent concerns, and they will address your question as quickly as possible. Sometimes, a text or video chat may actually solve the problem without the need to bring your child in.

Plenty of Time

Do you know that sick visits in standard practices are scheduled every 5-15 minutes? At Sweetbay, because the practice size is limited, all sick visits receive a minimum of 30 minutes of the doctor's undivided attention and well visits receive a whole hour! Since there is plenty of time reserved for each patient, there is no back up and no wait.

A Clean Environment

With a limited number of patients with office visits each day, and plenty of time to clean between each one, you can talk to the doctor worry-free as you put your child down on the floor to play with the toys and books that are provided.

Continuity and Coordination of Care

When you access medical care, you shouldn't have to worry that the available doctor doesn't know you or your child. You don't have to worry who will be on call that day — because it will be one of the two Sweetbay doctors! They will not only provide your child with individualized care, but they will call you directly to discuss and explain results, and will talk directly with specialists to coordinate your child's care if needed.

Same or Next Day Appointments

Need to see your pediatrician urgently? Our doctors always make time to see or counsel you if your child is uncomfortable or your needs are urgent. They know that illness and injuries have a way of striking after hours, and they will always strive to accommodate patients promptly.

Take comfort in knowing that your pediatricians are board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and have over three combined decades of experience in both outpatient and hospital settings.

Lactation and Nutrition Support

As Lactation Consultants with physician-level knowledge, our doctors will provide unparalleled education, diagnosis and support for you and your baby. They feel fortunate to have been taught by some of the best in the field of breastfeeding medicine. Lactation support is included for all members and is also available to nonmembers in the community who are making the wonderful commitment to breastfeed their child. But most important is feeding, loving and growing your baby, and there are so many gratifying and healthy ways to do this, including with formula. Beyond infancy, our physicians will help guide you through picky eating, growth spurts, mealtime antics and general nutrition needs of the growing child.

Price Transparency

Direct Primary Care is a simplified model of primary care for your children in which you pay one low monthly fee for your child’s all-inclusive care. DPC physicians believe that by removing third-party payers (insurance companies) you get more access to the doctor, better medical care, and a stronger doctor-patient relationship. No more billing hassles, price confusion, co-pays or piles of forms to fill out at each visit.
